Wheel track & Axle Distance Automated Positioning System

In a Four Poster Rig it is necessary to re-position the four wheel pan every time a new car with different dimension has to be tested.

Servo2000 has designed and manufactured a PLC controlled positioning system performing automatic wheel track and axle distance adjustments.
The system consists in four identical corners. Each corner provides the positioning and locking of two sleds.
The operator select from a list of car models the one being tested.

The PLC unlocks the sleds and by means of brushless motor moves precisely the wheel pans to the new position.

The sleds are than locked in the new position.For safety reason the hydraulic locks are always locked unless they receive hydraulic pressure from a small power supply. If during the movement the sleds finds a resistance this will be detected and if over a preset value the system will be stopped. The target position will be reached in a time which is also selectable with a precision of 1 mm.

All the commands are selected on a remote unit equipped with touch screen.
